Meet the Mamas
We’re Mamas, Registered Nurses and Lactation Consultants
We are Mamas to a total of 5 kids and are very familiar with the joys and trials of birthing and raising tiny humans. We know what those early days can feel like and we are here to help! With 22 years of combined Maternity Nursing between us, we are uniquely experienced in pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding and postpartum care both in the hospital and community settings. We are also International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and are passionate about helping you and your baby in your feeding journey!

Ashley Brar
BSN RN, IBCLC
Mom. Nurse. Birth Culture Enthusiast.
After living in Scotland in my early 20s and discovering that midwives were real (not just characters in historical novels!), I returned to Canada with a newfound passion for birth culture. I quickly realized that birth isn’t always like what we see on TV, and there are so many beautiful ways to bring babies into the world. This sparked my journey into nursing, with a specific focus on maternity care—something I’ve been dedicated to since my graduation in 2014.
I have a deep love for lifelong learning, which continuously fuels my passion for birth, breastfeeding, and the science behind them. This drive led me to earn my Perinatal Specialty from BCIT, equipping me to support families through every stage—from labor and delivery to postpartum care. Then in December 2019, I earned my IBCLC certification, allowing me to expand my ability to support families to ensure they feel confident, informed, and supported—no matter if it's their first baby or their fifth.
I’m here to guide you with warmth, knowledge, and care through one of the most incredible experiences of your life.

Kirsten Lindemulder
BKin, MSN RN, IBCLC
I grew up in Calgary and got my Bachelors in Kinesiology with the goal of working in healthcare. During my studies I started looking into nursing and was drawn to the wide variety of opportunities within the profession. In 2008, I graduated with my Nursing degree from the University of Calgary. I went straight into maternity nursing and ended up working on the unit where I was born! I also did my Masters of Science in Nursing in 2015.
I love to travel and have had opportunities to visit and live in new places and experience many different cultures. After spending a year in Australia, my husband and I moved to Surrey. I enjoy living on the West Coast, being close to the beach and spending time outdoors.
I love maternity care and have spent my entire nursing career so far sharing in the pregnancy and delivery journeys of so many families. I am passionate about empowering families to have the knowledge they need to have the best experience throughout their pregnancy, delivery and postpartum periods.
I look forward to working with you on your parenting journey!
